Tunisia's Ben Ali, Egypt's Mubarak, and Libya's Kaddafi

2/24/2011

Now that Ben Ali has fled Tunisia and is hiding in Saudi Arabia, and that Mubarak is enjoying his retirement on a beach, I can’t wonder how Gaddafi of Libya will do to save his skin or those of his family and clan.

Will he die as he promised on TV? Will be commit suicide?

Yet, I wonder if Sadam Hussein’e end would have come too if the USA and its coalition partners did not invade Iraq.

If we would have waited less than 8 years, the US would have three trillions dollars* ($3,000,000,000,000). Details of the cost are found at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Financial_cost_of_the_Iraq_War

As 02/24/2011, more than 4438 US servicemen died and as many of 32978 were wounded. The number of Iraqi remains unverified buthttp://www.justforeignpolicy.org/iraq has reported 1,421,933 Iraqis. The number is based on the British Lancet  Study (http://www.thelancet.com/journals/lancet/article/PIIS0140-6736(07)60062-2/fulltext)

What a waste of money! What a reprehensible violence! What a disrespect for life and lack of empathy for the suffering of others!

Maybe if the West invested more in Facebook and Twitter, Saddam would have fallen without the horrendous violence, hundred thousands of deaths, and waste of American taxpayers’ money.
